Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her mother was at home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick began performing and singing in the early years of her life. In the year she turned six, McCormick was crowned at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether she was interested in a career in showbusiness. McCormick got her first job as an actress major in 1964. She starred in an advertisement for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. In the following year she was a guest on the firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon chosen to play the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the show she almost lost the love of her life to her sister Barry Williams. In 2008, she revealed in her book Heres the Truth: surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to Barry Williams. The timing would not have had worked out for us, she told me.
